Three benefits to start your business in Hungary today

By Editorial team | Updated March 13, 2023 (Published 8/2/2023)

Hungary is one of the most important parts of the European economy and has many benefits to offer. Being in the heart of the continent, Hungary gives you easy access to the whole of Europe, both from a market perspective and literally. Thanks to its location, it provides great opportunities for expansion outside of the borders, and grants easy access to many of Europe’s central cities, by airplane or even train.

The lowest corporate tax in Europe

Beyond the outstandingly advantageous placement of the country, there are some lesser known, but not any less important benefits. For example, the fact that Hungary didn’t join the global minimum corporate tax concept. Thanks to this, the companies in Hungary only have to pay no more than 9% corporate tax after the profits, whether they are smaller enterprises, or large multinational enterprises (MNEs). This is a flat rate which makes it not only a sound starting point, but also a secure factor in growth and expansion.

To place into perspective, this 9% rate, is not only exceptionally low, it is the lowest in the whole of the European Union, by far. Providing the companies of Hungary a built-in advantage on the market.

Start the process on Monday and have your company by Friday

The company formation Hungary can be done within 2-3 days fully remotely. No need to spend hours of travelling, and hours of waiting, and yet again, some more hours of signing documents, when you can comfortably sit in front of your computer and get it done according to your own schedule, without wasting any time on changing locations. This also means you don’t have to wait weeks or months for the registration. You can decide to start the company formation in Hungary on Monday, and have your company up and running by the end of the week.

It’s not just the Hungarian company formation that is fast and swift, but the EU VAT number registration as well. While in other countries you would have to apply and wait, in Hungary, you get both the Hungarian and your EU tax number right after the registration. The process is fast, comfortable and stress-free, while also being efficient.

Manage your company remotely

It is also an important factor regarding the company formation in Hungary that Hungary has an advanced electronic government system, that not many people consider, yet it makes managing a company that much easier. As an owner or a managing director, your time is valuable, and this system prevents you from wasting much of it travelling between locations, waiting for appointments or standing in lines constantly. You can comfortably handle matters with your company online from the comfort of your home, or your office, as well as from abroad, saving you time and providing faster service than in-person administration.
