How to attract customers to your kiosk at a fair?

Editorial team | April 2, 2021

As the world is slowly getting ready to return to some kind of normality, where people will be able to eat in restaurants and attend special events, it is a good time for business to prepare themselves. Summer will be here soon, and some of you may attend town fairs, trade shows and other outdoor events. Here are a few ideas on how to attract people to your stand.

Bring fun, youth, dynamism and colour

After such a dark period, people will want to feel refreshed. They will need to be reborn and there is nothing like bringing them back to their youth, to do so. That’s why you should add something like a candy floss machine to your tools, that you will bring wherever you go, for special events, where you will be meeting with your customers. First, the bright colours (pink, blue, yellow…) will catch their eyes, which is the first thing you want to happen in a fair. It will definitely bring a smile to their face, and when they come to your stand, they will already be in a better state of mind, open to listen to whatever you have to say and sell them.

Your team should also be young and full of life. Dress them in similar colours to the candy floss, so that they are also easily noticeable. Wherever they go, within the event, they will be seen. Make sure to place your company’s name visibly on their shirt, so that visitors can’t miss it. The one thing you want from such a special event is for people to remember you when they go back home. If they don’t have a name to associate to the “fun” kiosk to, all your hard work and money spent will be in vain.

Be “digital”

Today, customers use the web more and more for everything they need. Therefore, if you don’t provide an easy way for people to find you online, you may start a relationship with them at the fair, but it will rapidly disappear. You need to create an easy way for people to reach you. One of those is a WhatsApp business number. It simplifies the relationship with your client, as they can send a message (text or voice), instead of having to talk with someone.

Make sure that all the documentation you hand out, on that day, provides all the digital information regarding your company. That should include your website, e-mail, Facebook and Instagram account, as well as a WhatsApp telephone number. If you have a YouTube account, don’t forget to include it, as people love videos.
